Beach Vacation Italy: San Benedetto del Tronto

The long, velvety beach is flanked by a beautiful promenade with palm trees, pines and oleanders.

This town offers a very relaxing holiday for singles and families. The fine white sand calls for long walks and castle construction.

You can have a nap without worrying too much about the children: the water is shallow and the seaside slopes gently , making it safe for kids and non swimmers.





Most hotels are just across the road from the seashore and will include the beach facilities (sun umbrellas and chairs) in the deal.

The promenade is alive until late at night and offers a great opportunity for some relaxing biking.

Recently was opened a “pista ciclabile” or biking path that goes for miles, is bordered by theme gardens and connects San Benedetto to Grottammare. A great opportunity for biking enthusiasts of all ages and abilities.


During the summer, in June and August an extensive antique market takes place along the promenade. The event is called L'Antico e le Palme and makes this Italy beach an important destination for all collectors of antiques and vintage objects.

Interesting is also the Museo Ittico Augusto Capriotti . In this museum, the collection of more than 6000 fish endemic of the Adriatic testifies of the incredible variety of sea life of our seas.
