Climate in Italy and Le Marche

Find out when is the best time to visit Le Marche

The climate in Italy and Le Marche is typically Mediterranean.

The best months are May, June, September and October. During these months it won’t be overcrowded and the temperatures are mild: you’ll be able to tour at your convenience without booking. If you plan a lot of outdoor activities you’ll find this time of the year especially suitable.

In the spring (May and June) you can enjoy the first sun on very quiet beaches and the fresh colors of the landscape; in autumn (September and October) the colors of the countryside are vivid and you’ll be able to visit the many sagre (country festivals) del tartufo (truffle) del vino (wine) e della castagna (chestnut) in towns and villages.

July and August are the hottest months, the beaches are populated and bursting with life day and night.

If you plan to stay at the beach is wise to book well in advance.

From November until March it can be cold and rainy but it has nevertheless its charm and you'll still be able to visit museums, art towns and maybe go skiing in the Sibillini Mountains.
