In this map below is in evidence the location of our region, Le Marche. As you can see, it is right in the center of Italy, close to Tuscany and Umbria, facing the Adriatic sea.

This location defines also some of the characteristics of our region especially in the way we eat and cook.

For example our cuisine is something in between the rich and buttery way of cooking of the Emilia Romagna and the more austere but spicy dishes of Abruzzo.

Our typical food has its origin in three distinct areas that divide the Marche region, the coastal strip with its varied and tasty seafood, the fertile rolling hills with farms, olive trees and wineries and the mountains with game, cattle and truffles.
