Golf Holiday in Italy

Golf in Italy: Le Marche Region

A golf holiday in Italy won't disappoint the aficionados. The Conero Golf Club offers a challenging, beautiful course to golf in Italy during your holiday in Le Marche region.

I didn’t feel competent enough to write a page about golf in Italy, so I asked a notorious victim of this game to help me: my husband.

Here is what he says about the Conero Golf Club, an 18 hole course near Sirolo.

You probably know by now how many discoveries you can make in Le Marche: spectacular scenarios, scrumptious meals, unique art treasures, amazing shopping.

But what about the poor addict that after a week becomes melancholic if doesn’t grab his trusted driver?

Don’t despair. In the heart of the Monte Conero park lies an oasis for us, devotees of the noble art: the Conero Club, a honest course that will bring back the smile in your vacation.

Some specific info.

The club is close to Sirolo, right in the middle of the Riviera del Conero. It is open all year long, and offers a 18-hole championship course, a 5-hole executive course, a driving range and putting greens.

I am not a fan of the ‘executive courses’ so let’s focus on the real course.

It is a reasonably challenging 18 holes - par 71 - that will require almost all your clubs.

You will not get bored: a couple of sharp doglegs (par4-#9 & par4-#10), a quasi-island green (par4=#5) and two very steep holes (par4-#7 & par4-#18) that will certainly prepare you properly for that dinner you booked since yesterday.

The welcome is straightforward and relaxed, the comfort is assured.

Don’t cheat, carts are available, but it will be a shame not to walk, especially along the par5-#12, if it is sill bordering a sunflower field as it was a couple of years ago.

Lines are not a factor during weekdays. You might reserve the tee for the weekends.

Have a nice game!
