Store opening hours Most small shops are closed between 1.00 and 4.30 PM, the big shopping centers are often open from 9 AM to 9 PM. During the summer the small shops might open after 5.00 PM. My best advice is to relax and enjoy your siesta.
Electricity In Italy is 220 volts. If you plan to use your 110 volt appliances, you’ll need a converter, unless the appliance is designed for dual voltage: in this case you’ll need an adapter for the Italian sockets. Italian sockets are designed to accept round prongs. It might not be easy or convenient to find what you need once in Italy, so it’s a good idea to get your converter or adapter before you leave home.
Time Italy Time is in the Central European Time Zone. During the summer the time is shifted forward by 1 hour.
