The Verdicchio Area

The name Verdicchio comes from the Italian word verde (green) that describes the hue of this delicious white Italy wine.

In the flavor you’ll find fruits and green herbs with a blast of acidity.

It is a clean and refreshing taste that goes superbly with a day at the beach and the subsequent seafood dinner.

This wine has two main area of production, Jesi and Matelica.

The Verdicchio from Jesi is more fruity and aromathic, the one from Matelica has a more penetrating aroma and less acidity.

The Rosso Conero Area

The Rosso Conero is a robust red produced in the Monte Conero area, just South of Ancona.

The color is an inky red and the flavor is of dense blackberry and sweet tannins.

Rosso Conero will go famously with a hearty meal of coniglio in porchetta (rabbit stuffed with fennel) or tagliatelle with Acqualagna truffle.

Make sure to select a designated driver before the tour.

Enjoy the wines of Italy from Le Marche and drive safely!
