Limoncello Recipe

The limoncello recipe is surprisingly simple. Learn how to make limoncello at home to serve it at the end of any meal, with ice in summer or hot water in winter.

Ingredients:

zest of 6 organically grown LEMONS cut in wide strips

1 liter of grain ALCOHOL

500 gr. of white SUGAR

1 and half liter of WATER

Put the lemon zest in a jar with the alcohol. Store the jar away and forget about it for about six days.

Prepare a syrup warming the water and sugar in a pot and stirring until the sugar is completely melted. Let it cool at room temperature.

Filter the alcohol, discard the lemon peels and mix with the sirup.

Your limoncello is ready to be bottled!

With the same recipe you can make tangerine or orange liqueurs, just use orange or tangerine zest instead of lemon.
