When to Visit

You’ll find the best climate and less crowd in spring (May, June) and autumn (September, October). During the summer (July, August),if you don’t like populated beaches and hot weather, you can always explore the inland with mountains and charming hill towns.

How to get around

The best way to discover this region of Italy is with a car, a good map and guide book. The roads are safe and well maintained and the driving is not as intimidating as in the big cities.



What to See

Don’t miss the Riviera del Conero near Ancona. This area is also very convenient as a base to discover the rest of the region.

You’ll find a wealth of history and culture in the historic cities of Urbino and Ascoli.





Natural wonders: Frasassi Caves.

Religious pilgrimage: Loreto , one of the world famous catholic shrines.

The Ancona area is at the center of the region and the accommodation of this area will make a very good base for your day trips.
