Marche Travel: Trasportation in Italy and Le Marche Region

Useful info about Marche travel, train travel in Italy and the Italian transportation system.

By Plane

Low cost airline Ryanair and Easyjet offer great deals on tickets to to Italy.

The prices vary greatly according to the date, so if your dates are flexible, check for the best deals.

They both fly from Stansted: Ryanair connects it to Ancona (the main airport in Le Marche), Pescara and Rome; Easy jet flies to Rome, Bologna and Venice. It could be a good idea to visit Rome or Venice first and than have an easy time in Le Marche.

Transportation in Italy is on the whole well coordinated. Rome , the main Italian airports, have daily flights to Ancona-Falconara airport.

The terminal was recently renovated, it now looks modern and stylish but is still small and user friendly. You won’t get lost in endless corridors or walk for miles to get to the check in counter.

At the arrival all major car rental companies have their booths so it will be easy for you to pick up your car.

A bus connects the airport with the center of Ancona, the train station and the Port.
