Pasta Carbonara Recipe

The pasta carbonara recipe is often prepared with spaghetti. This simple pasta recipe requires only common ingredients and can be prepared in minutes.

Bundle of Spaghetti
Buy at AllPosters.com

For 4 people you’ll need:

500 gr. (1 pound) of spaghetti

4 eggs

150 gr. (5 ounces) of guanciale or pancetta or smoked bacon

1/2 cup of grated parmesan cheese or, if you prefer, grated pecorino

a little olive oil

freshly ground black pepper

Bring a pot of salted water to boil, pour in the spaghetti and cook for 11-12 minutes.

While you prepare the spaghetti, cut the bacon in small cubes and fry it in a large skillet with a little olive oil.

Beat the eggs in a bowl with the cheese.

When the spaghetti are cooked drain the water, leaving a little cooking water with the pasta.

Pour the spaghetti in the skillet with the bacon and start mixing.

Add the egg and cheese and stir quickly. The egg will remain soft and will give the pasta a creamy texture.

Sprinkle with black pepper and serve immediately.
