Pasta Fagioli Recipe

Pasta fagioli recipe: a satisfying yet simple pasta recipe with beans, bacon, onion and tomato.



Ingredients for 4 people:

1 pound (450 gr.) FUSILLI

1 cup (300 gr.) of COOKED BORLOTTI BEANS

4 ounces (350 gr.) BACON in small cubes


1 ONION

1 can of PEELED TOMATOES


extra virgin OLIVE OIL


BASIL leaves

1 crushed CHILI PEPPERS

Mix the cooked beans with the chili pepper in a blender.

Cut the onion and fry it in a pan with olive oil. When the onion becomes transparent, add the bacon. Once the bacon is crispy, add the beans and the tomatoes.

Cook the fusilli al dente in salted water, drain and add to the pan. Mix gently with a wooden spoon over a slow fire for a minute.

Add the basil leaves and serve immediately.
