Last week we put together a good group of friends and drove to Senigallia to see one of main concerts of the season. First we had a walk on the “lungomare”, the strip along the beach, had a mandatory look at the “Rotonda”, an art nouveau pier and a town landmark. Dinner was at one of the many restaurants on the beach. We strolled then in the old town center, teeming with people out for the evening "passeggiata" (walk), the daily social gathering. The town center is mercifully closed to the cars but open to the ubiquitous bikes that are the favorite mean of transportation in Senigallia. We finally walked to the square of the Foro Annonario, one of the most beautiful market places in Italy, often used in the evenings for free concerts. That evening was on the “Orchestra di Piazza Vittorio”, a multicultural, very innovative band and we found the place populated with old friends and young people dancing to the beat. The next event in Senigallia will be the Summer Jamboree, a week dedicated to the rock era, with concerts, vintage markets, hawaiian beach parties and old cars parades. Definitely Senigallia earned its place as one of the best Italian beach resorts for its ability to integrate the beautiful town center, with the everyday life of the city, the port and the attractions of the beach. The mood of the town is lively and exuberant but at the same time welcoming and familiar, suitable for a vacation for families and youngsters alike. Beaches of Le Marche and Senigallia Hotels
