Things to Do in Italy
Horseback Riding on the Conero Coast
Horseback riding is one of the great things to do in Italy to explore the country the slow way.
If you want to see things from a different point of view, explore Monte Conero on horseback. An excellent riding school in Monte Conero area, is Le Azalee, just outside Sirolo, close to the Taunus village. The place is run by Giorgio: he will take you in an unforgettable hiking trip through the countryside and if you wish, Donatella will coach you in the covered arena, with skill and dedication.
They organize hikes every day and have horses suitable for every level of ability in horse riding. Most horses are Appaloosa or Arabian, well adapted to the surrounding rough terrain and to endurance riding, the focus of the school. Horses are well looked after and trained with gentle methods. I’m sure you’ll find here your dream horse, they are all easy and good mannered and take in their stride all the spooks (cars, buses, umbrellas, barking dogs) that haunt the equine mind. Horse riding is a great way to explore Le Marche the slow way.
