Italy Guest Book: Trip to Urbino

by Susan
(UK)

This summer we visited Urbino.
The palace looks like a fairy tale castle from the outside and inside is just amazing.

We loved the woodwork in the Duke's study.
After the palace we went to Raphael's house and then we stopped in a lovely small square with shops of local food (delicious) and handmade products.

Urbino was a lovely trip and quite a discovery!

Wine tasting in Italy - Le Marche

Wine tasting in Italy - Le Marche

We had a delicious wine tour one month ago in le Marche with Moreno of lemarcheholiday.net.
We tasted the most important organic wine from Le Marche: Passerina, Pecorino, Rosso Piceno at Cellars Fiorano, in the beautiful hills of the Picene area.

Thank you Moreno for the beautiful day we spent with you.

Marche Travel Stories: Truffle Hunting

by Clare
(Sibillini Mountains, Marche, Italy)

Black truffles

A few days ago my friends and I joined a Marche travel adventure party for a truffle hunting.
The expedition was organized by two really nice guys: Moreno Moretti and Paolo Ciccioli with the special guide of their trusty truffle dog.
This is how the expedition was arranged.
In the morning we went looking for truffles in the area around Force, where we were able to admire some of the most beautiful landscapes of the Marche.
At lunch came a chef to give us a cooking class, where we learned how to cook the truffles that we found in the morning.
Finally, all together, we enjoyed our truffles for lunch with some of the most delicious local wines.
This is where we found out about the truffle hunt:
